Yeonjae Lee

Yeonjae is a designer who finds meaning in the quiet. Her practice is not about filling space, but rather treating it as a room where ideas have the air to breathe.

Her perspective is shaped by the slow observation of the everyday—whether she is rummaging through runway archives or chasing the exact moment the sky turns violet at dawn.

She is ultimately on a pursuit to capture the ephemeral.

Cymatics is a runway catalogue for Iris Van Herpen’s SS20 Sensory Seas collection, inspired by the visual patterns of sound waves and vibration. The catalogue is interactive, inviting users to pull out layered pages that reveal shifting colors, textures, and keywords drawn from the collection’s palette. As each layer is removed, a central ring gradually changes color, mirroring the transformation and rhythm found in cymatic forms.
