Yeonjae Lee

Yeonjae is a designer who finds meaning in the quiet. Her practice is not about filling space, but rather treating it as a room where ideas have the air to breathe.

Her perspective is shaped by the slow observation of the everyday—whether she is rummaging through runway archives or chasing the exact moment the sky turns violet at dawn.

She is ultimately on a pursuit to capture the ephemeral.

The Higher Keys is a student-led acapella group at Brown University. They reached out to me to take promotional photos for the 25-26 school year with only one requirement – the incorporation of their team color, maroon. I asked the members to dress up in their best "concert wear" with any touch of maroon they could find. I rented out the school auditorium, set up my camera on the stage, and asked them to sing and dance on the seats as if they were warming up for an upcoming performance.
